Mike and I will be visiting the youth prison tomorrow evening and treasure your prayers, as always. As you know, a New Living Translation Study Bible was donated to us and we expect to give it away tomorrow evening. The boys have been asked to write and tell us about what they believe about God, and why they would like to have this Bible. We were expecting to take ONE Bible into the institution tomorrow night. God had other plans... :-)
We now have 7 copies of the Bible and a cherished friend has taken up donations and will be ordering another 24 copies today. Two of the Bibles were donated by a Tyndale publishing customer service representative when we contacted them to ask about bulk pricing. (A personal donation, not a Tyndale donation!)
God is amazing!!!
This means that every boy on Gibbs unit will soon have his own copy of the New Living Translation Study Bible. They will all have the same translation, the same version, and we can refer them to page numbers when we meet. They can sit together and talk about what they're reading. I cannot WAIT to see their faces they EACH receive this beautiful gift. It has been fascinating to watch God orchestrate getting such a beautiful copy of His Word into the hands of each of our boys.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to those of you who responded to God's leading and made this happen. I cannot wait to be able to share the boys responses with you!!!
We love you so much and always feel so supported and encouraged by each of you,
Susie and Mike
